Organ Toxicities and Neurocognitive Deficits Following Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT)

After viewing this presentation, participants will demonstrate the ability to: discuss the etiology and pathogenesis of pediatric late effects post HSCT; review the late pulmonary, GI, renal, and cardiac complications which occur post HSCT; determine how iron overload and transplant-induced metabolic syndrome can be studied and managed; identify possible interventions and therapeutic studies to improve neurocognitive outcomes; recommend strategies to standardize follow-up guidelines.
